It's interesting that yesterday I referred to the giant pink sea snail as "whale sized". Interesting in that I have become Ahab and this giant pink sea snail my white whale. You see, yesterday I warned you to be on the lookout for the shell-less snail but it seems the snail is only interested in me, and I don't think he wants to teach me the language of the shellfish. At some point during my alcohol induced slumber the snail crept back up inside me, I know because he just shot out of my ass once again! Who will be my Tashtego!? Who my Ishmael? Who will circle the earth with me in search of this foul, elusive snail? You Lucas? You Little Boots? You Hooter? You Plug? I think I am alone against the snail. Alone - as ever.

I can't understand Spanish for shit, my whole life I've taken Spanish classes and pretty much anything except counting to 10 completely escapes me. Some people have a gift for language, one day it just 'clicks' and when they hear Spanish or whatever language they've been studying they start to understand it, not just translate individual words but actually understand what they're hearing without translating. For me, rap music is like that, it's just an innate understanding that so many white people just don't get.
